Who Is Flying Drones in the US? The Same People that Are Molesting Children in Airports.
We face a new challenge in the arena of civil liberties. As many as 30,000 drones will be patrolling U.S. skies by 2015 as part of the 2012 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act.
This is yet another bill passed by our congress and president that will drastically change our basic rights and guarantees as American citizens.
The FAA is scrambling to make room in our airspace for these civil drones, which will be watching us every time we step out the door. They are electronically controlled and can clearly read a penny on the ground from thousands of feet up.
A drone was used to catch a couple in North Dakota who were accused of stealing six cows.
Most likely, we will never notice these drones in the air, but they are another step toward a surveillance state.
Cameras with speakers are already being used in the UK (see video below), and in New York the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has legislated the use of street lights with x-ray cameras to detect guns.
Read about x-ray cameras on streetlights here.
The DHS also placed “see something, say something” ads in all major cities to encourage people to spy on each other, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) trained thousands to spot signs of terrorism during the Super Bowl.
The FBI warned Americans during a recent press conference that people who resist the trend toward more government and more taxes are “anti-government extremists,” and claim through press releases that using cash or changing a cell phone’s SIM card in public are signs of terrorism.

Surveillance Self-Defense
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has created this Surveillance Self-Defense site to educate the American public about the law and technology of government surveillance in the United States, providing the information and tools necessary to evaluate the threat of surveillance and take appropriate steps to defend against it.
